To help Ss' learning more about volcano eruption directly by watching the video.
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Teacher asks :
Can you imagine climbing into a live volcano in order to measure the temperature of the boiling rock inside?
Can you imagine doing such dangerous work as part of your job?
Questionnaire Yes No 1) Do you like working outside as well as inside? 2) Do you enjoy travelling to unusual places? 3) Do you enjoy taking risks? 4) Do you dislike doing the same thing every day? 5)Do you like adventure in your life? 6) Are you interested in studying rocks and other things that make up the surface of the earth? 2. Let students do a survey to ask one of their friends the questions on the questionnaire to find out if he or she is suitable for the job.
3. Invite some students to report their survey results.
