S8: Football (American football BrE) is a very popular sport in the US. Many people, esp. men, support a particular team and watch the game that their team plays. Each team has a name, which usually includes the name of the town or city that the team is associated with.

S9: I'd like to say something about Australia. Australia's first settlers brought with them the tastes of 18th century Great Britain. Their familiar dishes are roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.

S10: There are a few famous places to visit in Australia, for example, Sydney Opera House with its specially designed appearance and the Great Barrier Reef, which is the longest coral bed in the world.

S11: Many types of sports are practiced in Australia, and most of them are outdoor sports due to favourable climate. For many bridge fishermen, the first thing to do when having a rest is to buy a powerboat. The result is that, maybe in nowhere in the world, you could see so many motorized boats as in Australia. Other sports as Water Skiing, Snow Ski, Jet Ski, Parasailing, Mountaineering, also have space in the sun depending on the time and season.

T: Well, as we know, food and sport play an important part in our lives. As a result of different histories and cultural backgrounds, people in different countries enjoy various food and sport. Besides, people in different cultures built varieties of places of interest in history. Next we'll listen to three people talking about different things. Where are they from? How do they think of the things in activity 3? Which things are different from where you live? Which things would you like or dislike? Now listen and decide.

After listening, ask the students to check the answers in pairs.
