suggest v. 建议，暗示 suggestion n. (可数) 建议，提议

① suggest作"建议，提议"时，后面可以跟名词，动名词，从句等。

The doctor suggested a complete relief. 医生建议彻底放松。

She suggests making a trip to Europe in the coming holiday.

她建议在即将到来的假期去欧洲旅游。

Can you suggest where I can get my bike repaired?

我该去哪里修我的自行车呢， 你能给些建议吗？

② suggest 作"建议"时，加that从句，多用虚拟语气，

即"suggest that sb (should) do sth"

They all suggested that we (should) take the chance to go traveling for free.

他们都建议我们利用这个免费旅游的机会。

I suggest that we (should) hold a meeting next week.

我建议，我们下周举行一个会议。

此外，suggest 还有"暗示"之意，后接从句不用虚拟语气。

The smile on his face suggested that he was willing to lose his life for his country.

他脸上的微笑说明他情愿为自己的祖国献出自己的生命。

The beautiful flowers suggest that spring has come.

这些美丽的花儿表明春天来了。

Task 3: 学习reject 的用法

　reject vt. 拒绝接受（观点、想法等）；拒绝接纳，不录取

The prime minister rejected the suggestion. 首相拒绝A了这个建议。

He has been rejected by the university he applied to.

他申请的那所大学没有录取他。

rejection n. 拒绝

Their rejection to his application depressed him.

他们拒绝他的申请，让他很沮丧。

用reject 的正确形式填空。
