twice as large as 是英语倍数表示法的一种，是由"倍数+as +原级+as " 构成。英语中倍数表示法还有以下几种形式：

1）倍数+比较级+than ...

2）倍数+the+ 名词（如size/length/width/height/depth/weight...）+ of ...

3）倍数+what 从句

4) 倍数+the +名词+that 从句

如：A是B的3倍大。

A is three times as big as B .

=A is twice bigger than B

=A is three times the size of B.

=A is three times what 从句

=A is three times the size that 从句
