T: Now that you've known something about people in different cultures such as the Italians, the British, the Japanese and the Americans. Let's listen to the second part and complete the table.

First, I'd like you to look carefully at the table and pay attention to the typical behaviors and then listen and tell exactly about whether people in different cultures have such behavior. You should also make the right marks as is shown in the example.

Then ask the students to listen and match the pictures with the dialogues.

T: I know one girl is named Christina and she appears in every picture. Which one?

S: She is about middle-aged and wears short yellow hair.

T: Quite right. So, who can tell what has happened in each picture?

S1: In picture A Christina is talking to a lady in the street. Maybe they are asking the way to somewhere.

S2: In picture B, Christina is chatting with her friends in a restaurant. Maybe they are discussing the plans for the weekend.

S3: In picture C, a boy is talking to Christina in the corridor of the classroom. Maybe they are talking about something, like a trip.

S4: In picture D, Christina is having dinner in a restaurant. Maybe she is asking the couple next to her something to eat.

Check the answers with the class.

T: Very good imagination! Now, please look through the dialogues in activity 5 and finish it.

T: First I'd like you to look through each dialogue and decide whether it's formal or informal. What's the main idea of each one? And you may try to fill in the blanks by yourselves first.
